No Pedestal for Me on Mother’s Day

I talked with my dear friend about Mother’s Day today. I liked what she had to say. I listened to her heart ache and she listened to mine. All in all, I think we don’t want to be put up on a pedestal, we just want to be understood. I like the work that I do, and I can’t do it from the top of a pedestal. I am good enough. My offering is good enough. That’s good enough for me.

Don't put me on a pedestal, for I am sure to fall. Just love me as I am, flaws and all.
Don’t put me on a pedestal, for I am sure to fall. Just love me as I am, flaws and all.

Celebrate Good Enough

How will you celebrate “good enough” today?
